The typical single beam HID Conversion Kits comprises HID Bulbs and HID Ballasts. Ballast is a power converter usually from normal headlights 55 watts into 35 watts. It is easy to install, requiring only mounting the ballasts and connecting the power source to the ballast, into the bulbs. Motorcycles in general need thinner ballasts known as slim ballasts and it is easier to install for a motorcycle which has small space. HID ballast starts the lamp and let the electricity to flow continuously through the bulb to keep the light on.
